A NEW REAR MAIN BEARING CAP SIDE SEAL HAS BEEN RELEASED TO SERVICE ALL 90 DEGREE V-6 "BUICK" ENGINES. IT WILL NO LONGER BE NECESSARY TO SEAL THE CAP TO THE BLOCK WITH R.T.V. SEALER.
THE PART NUMBER FOR THE NEW SEAL IS 24500058. PARTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE AVAILABLE ON MARCH 16, 1992. IN CASE OF LIMITED INVENTORY, PARTS WILL BE PLACED ON 400 CONTROL TO WAIVE VIP SURCHARGES. ONLY VERIFIABLE EMERGENCY VIP ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED. SPO WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO OBTAIN PARTS. HOWEVER, THE PART WILL BE SHIPPED PREMIUM TRANSPORTATION AT DEALER'S EXPENSE AND ALL OTHER ORDER TYPES WILL BE PLACED ON BACKORDER UNTIL THE 400 CONTROL IS REMOVED.

CLEAN: - SIDE SEAL AREA OF BEARING CAP AND BLOCK
INSTALL: - NEW REAR MAIN BEARING OIL "ROPE" SEAL (ALL EXCEPT 3800 TPI) - #4 (REAR) MAIN BEARING CAP IN BLOCK - SIDE SEAL, PART NUMBER 24500058, WITH GRAY RUBBER SEAL MATERIAL FACING THE BLOCK
