Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  2. Loosen the nut holding the tube to the exhaust manifold.
  3. Pull upward on the tube.
  4. Remove the oil level indicator and the tube.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 42229 Size: SH
  1. Install the tube assembly to the engine.
    2. 1.1. Make sure the o-ring is in place.
    1.2. Make sure you fully seat the tube assembly in the engine.
  2. Slide the tube assembly under the exhaust manifold nut.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).

  3. Connect the negative battery cable.
