Radiator Surge Tank Replacement for Buick Riviera 1998

1. Remove the air cleaner Assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls



2. Drain the coolant from the surge tank. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .



3. Disconnect the clamps and the hoses.



4. Remove the fasteners retaining the reservoir.
5. Lift the reservoir and disconnect the coolant level sensor connector.
6. Remove the surge tank.

1. Connect the low coolant level sensor electrical connector.
2. Install the surge tank in position in the vehicle.
3. Install the fasteners.



4. Connect the hoses and clamps to the surge tank.
5. Refill the surge tank with coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
6. Install the air cleaner Assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls
