Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Disassemble - Off Vehicle for Buick Riviera 1998

Tools Required
J 23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor

1. Remove the SIR coil assembly. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Disassemble - Off Vehicle .



2. Remove and dispose of the bearing retainer using J 23653-SIR .



3. Remove the bearing retainer (6). Dispose of the retainer.
4. Remove the shaft lock (5).
5. Remove the turn signal cancel cam assembly (4).
6. Remove the upper bearing spring (3).
7. Remove the upper bearing inner race seat (2).
8. Remove the inner race (1).
