  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the engine coolant level switch connector.
  3. Start the engine.

Is the low coolant indicator still lit?

Go to Step 4

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Connect a fused jumper from the engine coolant level switch connector terminal C to ground.

Is the low coolant indicator lit?

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector C1.
  2. Inspect CKT 68 (YEL/BLK) for a short to ground.

Is the wiring OK?

Inspect the instrument cluster connector C1 terminal E1.

Is the contact OK?

  1. Inspect the fuse in the IP fuse block.
  2. Inspect CKT 41 (BRN) for an open.
  3. Inspect CKT 451 for an open.

Is the wiring OK?

Inspect the coolant level switch connector for proper terminal contact.

Is the contact OK?
