Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 284111  Size: SH

    Important: The outer belt sealing strip/reveal moldings (1) are retained in the same manner for the front and the rear door. Both of the moldings have the following components:

       • Single stage clips that retain the moldings to the door belt
       • Locator pins in order to ensure proper positioning
    The only difference between the front door and the rear door is the starting point for removal:
       • The starting point for the front door is at the rear.
       • The starting point for the rear door is at the front.

  1. Lower the window to the full down position.
  2. Important: If you use a metal tool, pad the tool with tape in order to protect the paint.

  3. Use a flat thin-bladed tool in order to gently pry the molding (1) while rotating the molding outboard.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 284111  Size: SH
  1. Position the rear end of the molding (1) flush to the rear edge of the door.
  2. Important: If the edge of the molding is not flush to the edge of the door, gently tap the molding into place.

  3. Slowly working forward with a rubber mallet, gently tap the molding (1) into place.
  4. Do NOT allow the close-out lip to roll under.
