Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 398520  Size: SH
  1. Pry upward on the forward edge of the switch plate (1) in order to remove the plate.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  3. Remove the finish plug from the bezel cup (2).
  4. Remove the screw in order to remove the bezel cup (2).
  5. Remove the screws from the bottom edge of the trim panel.
  6. Pull up on the trim panel in order to disengage the hooks on the backside of the panel.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  8. Remove the trim panel.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connectors.
  2. Engage the hooks on the backside of the trim panel into the door inner panel in order to install the trim panel.
  3. Install the door trim panel.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the fasteners in the bottom edge of the trim panel.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners in the bottom door edge to 1.8 N·m (16 lb in).

  7. Install the fastener in order to secure the bezel cup (2) to the door panel.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  9. Install the bezel finish cover.
  10. Connect the electrical connectors to the switch plate.
  11. Install the switch plate  (1).
