Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel injection sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 378422  Size: SH
  3. Remove two bolts (1) from the MAP sensor (2).
  4. Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector (3) from the MAP sensor (2).
  5. Disconnect the MAP sensor vacuum hose (4) from the MAP sensor.
  6. Remove the MAP sensor from the engine.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector (3) and vacuum hose to the MAP sensor.
  2. Connect the vacuum hose (4) to the MAP sensor (2).
  3. Position the MAP sensor to the bracket and secure with the bolts (1).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  5. Install the fuel injection sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
