Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 392600  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the boost source vacuum hose (5) from the boost control solenoid (4).
  2. Disconnect the boost signal vacuum hose (3) from the boost control solenoid (4).

  3. Object Number: 392711  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the boost control solenoid electrical connector (3) from the boost control solenoid (2).
  5. Remove the boost control solenoid retaining nut (4).
  6. Remove the boost control solenoid (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 392711  Size: SH
  1. Install the boost control solenoid (2).
  2. Install the boost control solenoid retaining nut (3).
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 8 N·m (72 lb in).

  4. Connect the boost control solenoid electrical connector (3).

  5. Object Number: 392600  Size: SH
  6. Connect the boost source vacuum hose (5) to the boost control solenoid (4).
  7. Connect the boost signal vacuum hose (3) to the boost control solenoid (4).
