Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 293367  Size: SH
  1. Raise and support vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the wheels and tires. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels and Tires.
  3. Lower exhaust system.
  4. Remove the springs. Refer to Coil Spring Replacement .
  5. Remove the brake calipers and support. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Replacement in Disc Brakes.
  6. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector from each wheel.

  8. Release the park brake cable from brake calipers.
  9. Loosen the parking brake cable (1) and then disconnect the cable at the rear suspension support assembly.

  10. Object Number: 293366  Size: SH
  11. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the support assembly.
  12. Remove the electronic level control electrical connector and vent hose.
  13. Disconnect the electronic level control link from the left and right control arm.
  14. Remove the electronic level control vent tube from the electronic level control compressor.
  15. Support the rear suspension support assembly with a transmission jack and securely support.

  17. Remove three bolts per side, securing the support brackets to the body of the vehicle.

  18. Object Number: 105035  Size: SH
  19. Remove the front two and rear two bolts securing the support assembly to the body.
  20. Lower transmission jack and remove the support assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105035  Size: SH
  1. Raise the support assembly with transmission jack in position.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install two rear and two front bolts at the mounts.
  4. Tighten

        • Tighten the front support assembly bolts to 191 N·m (141 lb ft).
        • Tighten the rear support assembly bolts 191 N·m (141 lb ft).

  5. Install the brackets at the forward support assembly mounts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten bolts to 86 N·m (63 lb ft).

  7. Connect the electronic level control air tube to the electronic level control compressor.
  8. Connect the electronic level control electrical connector and vent tube.
  9. Connect the electrical connectors to the support assembly.
  10. Connect the electronic level control links to both control arms.

  12. Attach the parking brake cable at the support assembly.
  13. Install the parking brake cable (1) to the brake calipers.
  14. Install the brake calipers. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Replacement in Disc Brakes.
  15. Install the springs. Refer to Coil Spring Replacement .
  16. Install the exhaust system.
  17. Install the tires and wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  18. Tighten
    Tighten the wheel nuts to 140 N·m (100 lb ft).
