Speaker Replacement Buick

1. Remove the speaker grille (11) by pulling rearward.
2. Remove the woofer speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement .



3. Remove the fasteners (2) retaining the tweeter speaker.



4. Remove the speaker (1).

1. Install the tweeter speaker wiring harness to the door trim panel.

Align the speaker (1) to the door trim panel.





Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the speaker fasteners (2).

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

3. Install the woofer speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement .



4. Align the speaker grille (11) to the door trim panel.

Push inward in order to fasten the speaker grille.

Speaker Replacement Oldsmobile with UW6

1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.



2. Disconnect the tweeter electrical connector.
3. Carefully pry out the tweeter speaker (1) from the door trim panel.

Remove the speaker (1).

1. Route the tweeter electrical connector through the door trim panel.

Connect the electrical connector.

2. Align the speaker (1) to the door trim panel.

Push inward in order to fasten the speaker (1).

3. Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.
