Steering Wheel Controls System Operation Oldsmobile

Vehicles equipped with steering wheel controls allow you to control certain radio and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) functions from the steering wheel.

Vol

Press the up arrow in order to increase the radio volume. Press the down arrow in order to decrease the radio volume.

Seek

Press the seek button in order to tune the radio to the next strong radio station. When playing a cassette or compact disc (if equipped), press this button in order to hear the next selection. There must be at least 3 seconds of silence between selections on the cassette in order for this feature to work.

Prog

Press the program button in order to tune the radio to the next preset radio station. When playing a cassette tape, press this button in order to hear the other side of the tape. When playing a compact disc in the compact disc changer (if equipped), press the disc button in order to select the next disc.

Fan

Press the up arrow in order to increase the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) fan speed. Press the down arrow in order to decrease the HVAC fan speed.

Temp

Press the up arrow in order to increase the temperature setting. Press the down arrow in order to decrease the temperature setting.

Scan

Press the scan button in order to scan through the preset radio stations. When the scan button is pressed the radio will advance to the next preset station and remain there for a few seconds before advancing to the next preset station. To stop scanning, press the scan button again. If a preset station has weak reception, the radio will not stop at that preset station.

AM/FM

Press the AM/FM button in order to change the radio to AM, FM1 or FM2.

Temp

Press the up arrow in order to increase the temperature setting. Press the down arrow in order to decrease the temperature setting.
