Did you perform the Instrument Cluster System Check?

  1. Disconnect the left front door lock actuator connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Measure the voltage between the connector terminal B (GRY/BLK) and ground.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

12 V

Go to Step 5

Inspect CKT 745 (GRY/BLK) for an open or a short to ground.

Is there an open or a short to ground in CKT 745?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 6

Repair the open or the short to ground in CKT 745. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

 

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

Measure the voltage between the left front door lock actuator connector terminal B (GRY/BLK) and terminal D (BLK/WHT).

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

12 V

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 8

Inspect the instrument cluster connector C1 terminal F2 for proper terminal contact.

Is the terminal contact OK?

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Inspect CKT 151 (BLK/WHT) for an open.

Is there an open in CKT 151?

Repair the open in CKT 151. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect the left front door lock actuator connector for proper terminal contact.

Is the terminal contact OK?

Replace the left front door lock actuator. Refer to Door Lock Actuator Replacement in Doors.
