ABS SENSOR LIGHT COMES ON (REROUTE SPEED SENSOR WIRE)

SUBJECT: ABS LIGHT ON (REROUTE WHEEL SPEED SENSOR WIRE AROUND ECU WIRING HARNESS)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1992 ROADMASTER SEDANS -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

CONDITION:

---------- On some 1992 Roadmaster Sedans, the ABS light comes on and stores Code #25 (left front wheel speed sensor fault) and Code #35 (rear axle speed sensor fault).

CAUSE:

------ A voltage may be induced in the right front wheel sensor wire if it is too close to the spark plug wires. This may occur on Roadmaster Sedans built between VIN NR421429 and NR429876.

CORRECTION:

----------- To obtain more clearance on these vehicles, reroute the wheel speed sensor wire around the ECU wiring harness below the front of dash panel clamp, per Figure 1.
