General Motors of Canada Limited has determined that certain 1992 Chevrolet Caprice and Buick Roadmaster model vehicles may have been assembled with mislabeled fuse blocks and/or Owners Manuals (English only) which state the incorrect fuse specifications. Although these vehicles were assembled with the correct fuses, subsequent fuse replacements based on incorrect information could result in inadequate circuit protection or repeated fuse failures.
To correct this condition, owners of involved vehicles will be sent a new fuse block specification insert for the Owner's Manual (English only) and/or, a new fuse block label. Since these materials can easily be installed, and to reduce owner inconvenience, owners will be provided instructions to allow them to correct this condition themselves. However, if they desire, owners are being given the option to have the materials installed by their dealer at no charge.
Involved are CERTAIN 1992 Chevrolet Caprice and Buick Roadmaster model vehicles built within the following VIN breakpoints:

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
