VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992-93 "B" MODEL AND 1991-93 CADILLAC "D" MODEL
This bulletin is being revised to add the 1991-1992 model years for Cadillac "D" cars. Warranty Administration has been notified of all changes and the warranty claims processing system has been updated.
Some 1992-93 B-cars and 1991-1993 D cars may exhibit a slight exhaust moan/boom condition, most apparent during light acceleration from 45-55 mph with transmission in fourth gear and torque converter clutch (TCC) applied.
Exhaust generated pulsation's transmitted into vehicle underbody through the exhaust system hangers.
Replace existing muffler hanger assembly with new assembly P/N 10228003. Follow applicable Service Manual Procedures and those noted in illustration to insure proper installation and system alignment. Torque hanger/frame bolt to 24 N.m (17 lb.ft.) and hanger clamp to 33 N.m (24 lb.ft.).
