SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ON A SQUEAK AT THE BASE OF THE WINDSHIELD.
REMOVE 4MM OF MATERIAL FROM THE I/P BY USING THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE:
1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD. (REFER TO SERVICE MANUAL PROCEDURE.)
2. CAREFULLY MEASURE 4MM FROM LEADING EDGE (NEXT TO WINDSHIELD) AND MARK A LINE ON THE PANEL. (SEE FIGURE 1.)
3. USING A UTILITY KNIFE, CUT ON MARKED LINE THROUGH FOAM PAD SCORING THE HARD PLASTIC SUBSTRATE. REMOVE CUT FOAM EXPOSING SCORED LINE.
4. USING A SAW TYPE TOOL, CUT ALONG SCORED LINE.
5. REINSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD AND ANY OTHER PREVIOUSLY REMOVED PARTS.
FOR VEHICLES REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY, USE: LABOR OPERATION NUMBER: C2510 LABOR TIME: 0.7 HRS. (FOR I/P PAD REMOVAL) ADD: 0.2 HRS. (FOR CUTTING OF I/P PAD)
