CAMPAIGN: FRONT SEAT ANCHOR BOLT BROKEN - INSTALL BRACKET

MODELS AFFECTED: 1983 & 1984 SKYHAWKS WITH MANUALLY ADJUSTABLE DRIVER'S SEAT

NOTICE: Refer to Campaign Bulletin 84-C-13, Group 10, Number 27, dated June, 1987.

Three sections that should have been printed on the second page of Bulletin 84-C-13 were omitted. These three sections: DEALER ACTION, VEHICLES INVOLVED, and DEALER CAMPAIGN RESPONSIBILITY are shown below:

Please include these corrections with your copies of Bulletin 84-C-13.

DEALER ACTION

To prevent the possibility of this occurring on vehicles involved, dealers are to install a reinforcement bracket on the floor pan anchor bar at the left front outer seat adjuster position of the driver's seat, as instructed in the Technical Procedure of this bulletin.

Involved are all 1983 and 1984 Buick Skyhawk models equipped with a manually adjustable driver's seat within the following vehicle identification numbers:

DEALER CAMPAIGN RESPONSIBILITY

Dealer are to service all vehicles subject to this campaign at no charge to the owner, regardless of mileage, age of vehicle, or ownership, from this time forward.

Whenever a vehicle subject to this campaign is taken into your used vehicle inventory or is in your dealership for service, in the future, you should take the steps necessary to be sure the campaign correction has been made before reselling or releasing the vehicle.
