The conditions causing a wet floor mat are:
1. The 1982-83 Skyhawk equipped with air conditioning may have restricted evaporator drain tube. (See Figure 1). Additional checks should also be made to insure that the evaporator case has the proper sealing along the dash cawl area.
2. Non-air conditioned Skyhawks may have a hairline crack in the right side fresh air duct (See Figure 2). There is a sponge-like material immediately below this area, and therefore, water entry is delayed until this material is saturated.
