When performing a minimum idle speed adjustment on a 2.0L L4 engine, it may be necessary to remove the air cleaner isolator to insert tool J-33047 into the throttle body. It is important to reinstall the isolator retaining bolts and washers after removing the isolator and before installing tool J-33047.
After adjustment is complete, reinstall isolator without washers and torque bolts to 23 N-m (17 lbs. ft.)
Before checking the idle speed or making the adjustment on cars with an automatic transaxle, place the gearshift selector lever in the "D" (Drive) position.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
