If a lateral movement of the inner seat adjuster is experienced, perform the following operations.
1. Remove seat and place on a clean protected surface.
2. Replace seat adjuster(s) with new adjuster(s).

3. Install release wire (P/N 20162898) between lock bars.
4. If the adjuster to floor attaching stud is loose in the floor, weld the stud (mig or gas with steel rod only) into place using standard body shop repair procedure for structural components.
5. Install seat to floor and torque seat adjuster-to-floor pan attaching nuts 20 to 28 N.m (15 to 21 ft. lb.).
