ROAR NOISE IN CLUTCH CABLE TO CLUTCH BRACKET

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1983 'J' SERIES VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION WHEN DIAGNOSING A CONDITION OF A 'ROARING' TYPE NOISE IN EARLY BUILT 1983 'J' SERIES VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION, BE SURE TO EXAMINE THE CLUTCH CABLE FOR PROPER ATTCHMENT TO THE CLUTCH BRACKET AS SHON IN FIG. 1. THE CLUTCH CABLE SHOULD BE PUSHED DOWN AS FAR AS POSSIBLE INTO THE RUBBER ISOLATOR LOCATED ON TOP OF THE CLUTCH BRACKET. IF THE CABLE IS NOT PROPERLY POSITIONED IN THE RUBBER ISOLATOR AN OBJECTIONABLE CLUTCH 'ROARING' NOISE MAY BE PRODUCED.
