POOR A/C PERFORMANCE OR LEAK (MAYBE LEAK FROM HOSE)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1986 BUICK SKYHAWKS WITH 1.8L OHC TURBO ENGINES (VIN CODE J)

Some 1986 Buick Skyhawks equipped with the LA5 engine (1.8L OHC turbo) and C60 air conditioning may experience a leaking A/C suction/discharge hose assembly due to the hoses coming in contact with each other.

Check hose assembly for abrasion or rub through and replace if necessary with Part Number 10040317.

NOTICE: Hose assembly should have a 25 m (I inch) clearance between the hoses, and if necessary, bend the pipes to assure this clearance. Refer to illustration.
