POOR A/C PERFORMANCE OR LEAK (MAYBE LEAK FROM HOSE)

LOSS OF A/C PERFORMANCE DUE TO WORN A/C HOSE ASSEMBLY

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1986 BUICK AND PONTIAC MODELS WITH LA5 ENGINE ----------------- (1.8 OHC TURBO) WITH C60

Some 1986 Buick and Pontiac models equipped with the LA5 Engine (1.8 OHC Turbo) and C60 may experience a leaking A/C suction/discharge hose assembly due to the hoses coming in contact with each other.Check hose assembly for abrasion or rub through, and replace if necessary with part number 10040317.

NOTICE: Hose assembly should have a 25 mm (1 inch) clearance between the hoses and if necessary, bend the pipes to assure this clearance. Refer to illustration.
