The air conditioning suction/discharge line ordered as a replacement part from GMSPO for 1988 Skyhawks may have a "muff" type insulator wrapped around it. The "muff" insulator stitching on replacement lines must be rotated away from the radiator as shown in the illustration below. A possible leak could be caused by the "muff" stitching rubbing through the radiator if this is not done.
