DELAYED OR INADEQUATE ENGINE COOLING AT IDLE WITH A/C ON

DELAYED AND/OR INSUFFICIENT INTERIOR COOLING AT IDLE Revised to indicate the correct manual transaxle prom

VEHICLES AFFECTED 1988 J SERIES EQUIPPED WITH 2.0L ----------------- (VIN CODE K) LT2 4 CYLINDER ENGINE

Some early-built 1988 'J' series vehicles may exhibit delayed and/or insufficient cooling with the air conditioning mode selected. This is due to the engine cooling fan not operating in the A/C mode when the outside air temperatures is below 30 degrees C.

This condition can be addressed by installing the following service PROMS:
