HOOD WOBBLES WHEN OPEN DUE TO LOOSE HINGE PIVOT BOLTS

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1988-89 J SERIES

Some 1988-89 J series may have hood bolts that have insufficient loctite and could loosen. This will allow the hood to have a loose wobbly feel when opened. This condition has been corrected in Production at the following VIN breakpoints:

To repair this condition, install new hinge pivot bolts, part number 22548097. Refer to the illustration for identification (the new bolt has a hex head).
