THE FRONT WHEEL DRIVE SHAFT AIR DEFLECTOR (SEE ILLUSTRATION) ON 1981 SKYLARKS BUILT AFTER VIN 1G4AC69X6BW165205 AND OMEGAS AFTER VIN BW 158468 (WILLOW RUN) AND 1G4AC37X2BT144176 (TARRYTOWN) ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED. THE NEW SILICONE SEAL IN THE DRIVE SHAFT HAS BEEN TESTED AND FOUND ACCEPTABLE IN THE OPERATING TEMPERATURES INVOLVED AND THEREFORE ELIMINATED THE NEED FOR THE AIR DEFLECTOR.
