REVISED LABOR OPERATIONS FOR DRIVEABILITY DIAGNOSIS

MODELS AFFECTED: 1983-1988 - ALL VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH COMPUTER COMMAND CONTROL, ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION (THROTTLE BODY INJECTION AND PORT FUEL INJECTION)

NOTICE: This bulletin supersedes bulletins 87-6E-7, 84-6E-24, and 83-23 for the following reasons:

Addition of 1988 models, New Service Procedures, and labor time changes. Please discard bulletins 87-6E-7, 84-6E-24, and 83-23.

The following labor operations and times are for 1983-1988 and should be used when performing ALDL Scanner diagnosis checks described in the 1983-86 Driveability Diagnosis Procedure Manual. The operation numbers are listed below:

The following information describes what is and is not included in each operation number:

T5056 INCLUDES

1. Observing the scanner and COMPLETING the worksheet.

T5056 DOES NOT INCLUDE

1. Electrical and/or connector repairs. 2. Component replacement. 3. Diagnostic circuit check. 4. System performance check. 5. Internal carburetor adjustment. 6. CLEANING 02 sensor, if necessary.

T5079 INCLUDES

1. Observing the scanner and COMPLETING the worksheet.

T5079 DOES NOT INCLUDE

1. Electrical and/or connector repairs. 2. Component replacement. 3. SETTING minimum air rate, if necessary. 4. SETTING TPS, if necessary..
