RTV SEALANT REPLACEMENT REPAIR VALVE COVER OIL LEAKS

Models Affected: 1980-1984 Skylark and Century

A new composition gasket, P/N 14089252, is available for servie use on the above 2.8L V-6 engines.

This gasket replaces the RTV sealant and is to be used for repair of rocker arm cover oil leaks and general service work.

A small amount (dab) of GM sealer must be applied at the cylinder head intake manifold split line prior to the gasket installation.

The rocker arm - cover attaching bolts must be torqued to 8.5 to 10 N.m (75-90 in. lbs.).
