THE TWO SERVICE UNITS INVOLVED ARE: 1225550, WHICH IS USED ON 5.0L DUEL EFI FIREBIRDS; AND 1225570, USED ON 2.5L EFI PHOENIX AND 6000. THE MISLABELING COULD CAUSE THE SINGLE INJECTOR ECM (1225570) TO BE INSTALLED INTO A DUEL INJECTOR VEHICLE... IF THIS HAPPENS NO TROUBLE CODES WILL BE SET. THE CAR WILL RUN POORLY BECAUSE ONLY ONE INJECTOR WILL BE OPERATING. THE CORRECT IDENTITY OF THE ECM CAN BE DETERMINED BY CHECKING THE MANUFACTURING CODE ON THE SIDE OF THE ECM. REFER TO FIGURE 1 (ILLUSTRATION) FOR AN EXAMPLE OF THE MANUFACTURING CODE. THE CORRECT INFORMATION FOR EACH SERVICE UNIT IS: SERVICE NO.
