SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ON AN IMPRESSION IN THE DOOR FORWARD OF THE DOOR HANDLE.
PRESSURE APPLIED FORWARD OF THE DOOR HANDLE DEFORMS DOOR OUTER SHEET METAL.
1. REMOVE DOOR TRIM PANEL, REFER TO SECTION 10-6 IN THE SERVICE MANUAL.
2. REMOVE WATER DEFLECTOR ENOUGH TO REPAIR IMPRESSION AND INSTALL DOOR REINFORCEMENT PANEL.
3. REMOVE ENOUGH SOUND DEADENING PATCH TO REPAIR IMPRESSION AND INSTALL DOOR REINFORCEMENT PANEL.
4. REPAIR IMPRESSION IN DOOR.
5. PEEL OFF TAPE BACKING FROM DOOR REINFORCEMENT PANEL.
6. INSTALL DOOR REINFORCEMENT PANEL, P/N 22597410. SEE FIGURE 1.
7. INSTALL WATER DEFLECTOR.
8. INSTALL DOOR TRIM PANEL, REFER TO SECTION 10-6 IN THE SERVICE MANUAL.
PARTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE AVAILABLE ON JUNE 20, 1994.
