FOLDING REAR SEAT BACK DOOR PANELS PUSH PAST STOP BRKT.

SUBJECT: AM9 SPLIT FOLDING REAR SEAT BACK DOOR PANELS GOING REARWARD PAST STOP BRACKET (REPLACE WITH NEW BRACKET)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1992 SKYLARK

CONDITION:

---------- Owners of some 1992 Skylarks with AM9 split folding rear seat back may comment on the occurrence of pushing the folding door panels back past the stop bracket located on the rear side of the rear seat back collar at the inner upper corners of the door panels.

CAUSE:

------ Length dimension on stop bracket is not adequate.

CORRECTION:

----------- Replace existing stop bracket with new bracket (part #16721075).

1. Remove rear seat cushion and seat back.

2. Remove (3) screws securing stop bracket and replace with new bracket.

3. Reinstall rear seat back and cushion.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
