FRT. ENGINE MOUNT RATTLE (REPLACE WITH UPDATED MOUNT)

SUBJECT: FRONT ENGINE MOUNT RATTLE (REPLACE FRONT ENGINE MOUNT WITH NEW UPDATED MOUNT)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1992 SKYLARK WITH 3300 ENGINE

CONDITION:

---------- Front engine mount makes a rattle noise during high road impact at low speeds.

CAUSE:

------- Movement of the decoupler valve in the hydraulic mount is structurally transmitted into the passenger compartment.

CORRECTION:

------------- Replace the front engine mount with updated engine mount. See Parts Information for updated part number.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

Refer to applicable 1992 Service Manual, Section 6A7, for repair procedure. Vehicles that may have the engine mount rattle noise are 1992 Skylarks from Start of Production to Vehicle Identification Number breakpoint of NC600595.
