FRT. ENGINE MOUNT RATTLE (REPLACE WITH UPDATED MOUNT)

SUBJECT: FRONT ENGINE MOUNT RATTLE (REPLACE FRONT ENGINE MOUNT WITH NEW UPDATED MOUNT)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992 PONTIAC AND BUICK "N" W/2.3L OR 3.3L

Condition:

--------- Front engine mount makes a rattle noise during high impact at low speeds.

Cause:

----- Movement of the decoupler valve in the hydraulic mount is structurally transmitted into the passenger compartment.

Correction:

---------- Replace the front engine mount with updated engine mount. See Parts Information for updated part numbers.

Service Information:

Refer to applicable 1992 Service Manual, Section 6A7, for repair procedure. Vehicles that may have the engine mount rattle noise are 1992 N cars from Start of Production to Vehicle Identification Number breakpoint listed below by division.
