----------- 1992 "N" Coupes and Pontiac and Buick Sedans
All coupes and Buick and Pontiac sedan quarter panels had a design change after production startup.
Buick, Oldsmobile and Pontiac coupe quarter panels were revised at the lower area of the quarter window opening beltline. Thus, the respective quarter window modules were revised to fit the new quarter panel surface. In addition, Oldsmobile coupe quarter panels were also revised by removing a portion of the rear window reveal moulding step at the lower corner of the quarter panel rear window opening.
Pontiac and Buick sedan quarter panels were revised by removing a portion of the rear window reveal moulding step at the upper corner of the rear window.
Repair damaged quarter panels as follows:
1. Damage above the upper portion of quarter panel (mid sail):
a. Vehicle with old panels - Cut and repair using normal procedures. (Order either old or new window module.)
b. Vehicle with new panels - Cut and repair using normal procedures. (Order either old or new window module.)
2. Damage below the upper portion of quarter panel (mid sail):
a. Vehicle with old panels - cut and repair (remove damaged section and weld in new section). (Must order new window module.)
For Oldsmobile coupes only: on opposite quarter panel, fill in corner using normal repair procedures and finish to match new panel appearance.
b. Vehicle with new panels - Cut and repair using normal procedures. (Must order new window module.)
1. Damage above the upper portion of quarter panel (mid sail):
a. Vehicle with old panels - cut and repair (remove damaged section side, fill in corner using normal repair procedures and finish to match new panel appearance).
b. Vehicle with new panels - cut and repair damaged area using normal repair procedures.
2. Damage below the upper portion of quarter panel (mid sail):
a. Vehicle with old panels - cut and repair using normal procedures.
b. Vehicle with new panels - cut and repair using normal procedures.
