    Notice: Never attempt to remove the intake manifold from a hot engine, allow the engine to cool to ambient temperature. The intake manifold is made of a composite plastic and can be damaged if it is removed when the engine is hot.


    Object Number: 33613  Size: SH
  1. Install the EGR tube to the intake manifold.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 7 N·m (53 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the new gasket with the numbers stamped on the gasket faced toward the manifold surface.
  4. Install the intake manifold gasket. The gasket is reusable if it is undamaged.

  6. Install the intake manifold.

  7. Object Number: 60043  Size: SH
  8. Install the intake manifold bolts and nuts. Follow the tightening sequence.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts and nuts to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  10. Install the Throttle body.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts and nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.
