Tools Required

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to

   Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

2. Install the J 28467-360 and the J 28467-90 .
3. Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Automatic Transmission.
4. Remove the flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Replacement .
5. Confirm that there is a rear main seal leak.
6. Remove the crankshaft rear seal. Refer to Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Removal .

1. Install the crankshaft rear oil seal. Refer to Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Installation .
2. Install the flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Replacement .
3. Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Automatic Transmission.
4. Remove the J 28467-360 and the J 28467-90 .
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
6. Check for proper fluid levels.
7. Inspect for leaks.
