  1. Remove the oil filter.
  2. Ensure that the gasket is removed with the filter.

    3. Object Number: 189004 Size: SH
  3. Remove the oil filter adapter.

    4. Object Number: 189005 Size: SH
  4. Remove the oil filter bypass valve using a screwdriver or punch to pry the valve out.
  5. Clean the oil filter mounting surface.
