Removal Procedure

J 28467-360 Engine Support Fixture

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the bolt attaching the surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  3. Remove the coolant recovery tank and position it aside.
  4. Install J 28467-360 and raise the engine off of the mount.

  5. Object Number: 63035  Size: SH
  6. Remove the nuts holding the mount (2) to the body.
  7. Remove the bolts (1) holding the engine bracket to the mount.
  8. Remove the engine mount (2) assembly.

  1. Install the engine mount (2) assembly.
  2. Install the bolts holding the engine bracket to the mount (1). Do NOT tighten.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the nuts holding the mount to the body.
  5. Tighten

        • Tighten the bolts holding the engine bracket (3) to the mount to 130 N·m (96 lb ft).
        • Tighten the nuts holding the mount to the body to 66 N·m(49 lb ft).
  6. Remove J 28467-360 .
  7. Install the surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
