Tools Required

J 42137 Lock Plate Compressor

1. Remove the SIR coil assembly. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Disassemble - Off Vehicle .



2. Remove and dispose of the bearing retainer using J 23653-SIR . Dispose of the bearing retainer.



3. Remove the shaft lock (1).
4. Remove the turn signal cancel cam assembly (2).
5. Remove the upper bearing spring (3).
6. Remove the upper bearing inner race seat (4)
7. Remove the inner race (5).
