WHEN REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION CONVERTER (FLEXPLATE) COVER ON THE ABOVE VEHICLES CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN TO INSTALL THE TABS ON THE COVER ON THE ENGINE SIDE OF THE ENGINE OIL PAN FLANGE TO PREVENT POSSIBLE INTERFERENCE WITH THE FLEXPLATE. SEE ILLUSTRATION. AS FURTHER AID IN PREVENTING INTERFERENCE IN THIS AREA A SNAP IN PIN LOCK RETAINER PART NUMBER 5973400 IS BEING INSTALLED IN THE COVER IN PRODUCTION. ITS SUGGESTED THAT THIS PIN BE INSTALLED IN THE EXISTING OPENING OF ANY COVER, NOT SO EQUIPPED, PRIOR TO REINSTALLING IT. SEE ILLISTRATION.
