This bulletin is being issued to revise the Park Brake Cable Replacement - Left Rear (With IRS) and the Park Brake Cable Replacement - Right Rear (With IRS) procedures in the Parking Brakes sub-section of the Service Manual. Please replace
the current information in the Service Manual with the following information.
The following information has been updated within SI. If you are using a paper version of this Service Manual, please make a reference to this bulletin on the affected page.
The following information about proper rear park brake cable routing and clearances has been added to the Installation procedure. Make certain this clearance is maintained when performing the following replacement procedures:
• | Rear Suspension Knuckle |
• | Rear Upper Control Arms |
• | Rear Suspension Coil Spring |
Important: Maintain proper rear park brake cable routing and clearances. Verify that the rear park brake cables have a minimum of 10 mm and a maximum of 12 mm of clearance to the wheel drive shafts (1). Maintain this
clearance using retention straps or equivalent retention (2).
