This PI was superseded to include potential logic lock up concern and how to correct this. Please discard PIT3319C.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some customers may report that their steering wheel controls are inop, OnStar does not mute, no sound from the DVD and a "no radio" message is displayed on the screen and/or no satellite radio band is displayed on the radio.

Using the Tech 2, follow the path below to enter programming to enable the needed feature(s). The option will need to be highlighted, and the selected options saved.

1. Vehicle Control Systems
2. Engine type
3. Computer/Integrating Systems
4. Module Setup
5. Radio
6. OPTIONAL MODULES
7. Using the arrows, highlight the optional module, press "enter", and then select the "save" soft key
8. Press EXIT on the scan tool and cycle the ignition.
9. Turn OFF the ignition and open the door to cancel RAP. (May take up to 20 minutes)

Note: If a radio "logic lock up" is experienced or module set up did not correct the concern, remove both battery cables and touch them together for 30 seconds to discharge all capacitors from the vehicle. Reinstall the battery cables and evaluate operation of the audio system.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
