The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment of a rattle from the right side power sliding door while driving.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Engineering has determined that a protruding rivet on the outside of the interior latch plate assembly can contact the door sheet metal causing a rattle type noise. To repair install foam tape to the door sheet metal to insulate the rivet.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
