The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

There may be confusion over the number of headset a GMT201 should have. There are 3 different build configurations. Check the SPID label or VIS the vehicle to check for RPOs.

RPO U56 consists of only one wireless remote control and NO headsets. RPO U42 consists of one wireless remote control and two cordless headsets. RPO TX3 adds an additional 2 headsets to vehicles with U42. Additional wireless headsets, part #10395409, may be purchased separately through GM SPO. Wired headsets are also available through various commercial outlets and plug into the DVD unit.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
