The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some customers with a US8 or US9 radio may report one or more of the following concerns: poor AM/FM reception; CD and/or XM will bleed through on an OnStar key press or OnStar Hands Free Calling (OHFC) call: the radio station will seek to a different station intermittently. See the below listed corrective actions

Recommendation/Instructions:

**AM/FM Poor Radio Reception and/or Radio bleed through while on an OnStar key press or OHFC. Review eSI Document ID# 1542714 and if normal diagnostic procedures does not correct the concern, contact your local Authorized ESC (Electronic Service Center) for an updated radio.

**Radio stations seeking or changing on it own. If the Auto Frequency (AF) is active the radio is operating as design. AF can be turned off by pressing and holding the "BAND" button until the message "AF OFF" is displayed.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
