The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Customers may report an intermittent No Crank, No Start and/or dead battery condition on vehicles equipped with a LX9 engine and the UMS (Phatnoise) system. It also maybe reported that there is no communication with any modules, the IPC is dark except for a check engine light, the OnStar/Entertainment systems, HVAC, and the power sliding doors are all inoperative until the DVD player or UMS (Phatnoise) system is disconnected. Engineering has determined that the software in the Mobile Media Player maybe inducing this concern.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Replace the Mobile Media Player.
