VERTICLE MOTION OF SEAT - "ROCKING" ADJUSTER - REPLACE SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1987-1988 CADILLAC ALLANTE -----------------

Some 1987 and 1988 Allantes built before 1988 VIN breakpoint 102078 may experience a condition of seat rocking on the adjuster. This condition may be caused by more than normal vertical movement of adjuster components.

To repair this condition, replace the seat adjuster assembly complete with motors with new, reinforced adjusters, P/N 1648664 (passenger) and 1648665 (driver). Follow the procedures outlined in Section 10-9 of the Allante Service Information Manual for seat assembly and seat track replacement. Parts are currently available from CANSPO.

Use the most applicable labour operation from the Canadian Labour Time Guide and claim 0.7 hours for each seat.
