LOW PROFILE HEADREST REMOVAL SERVICE PROCEDURE

LOW PROFILE HEADREST REMOVAL/REPLACEMENT

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1988 V ------------------

This bulletin provides supplemental information on the low profile headrest removal and replacement for the 1987-1988 Allante Service Information Manual.

1. Raise headrest to full height position.

2. Release boot retainers and lift boots; remove shoulder belt guide.

3. Remove seat back cover.

4. Remove trim from top of seat back center cushion (four clips at back, bend two tabs at top, front) to access support retaining clips.

5. Remove clips.

6. Lift headrest to remove from seat.

Reverse procedure to reinstall headrest, ensuring that flat side of clip contacts support grooves/indentations

Use caution when reinstalling clips; a dropped clip may fall into closed bottom of seat back frame resulting in a rattle.

Use the most applicable labour operation from the Canadian Labour Time Guide and claim 0.2 hours each side.
